Understanding And Claiming Your Rights In Law

The Touchstone Committee was established in 1975 as an advocacy agent to ensure the growth and enjoyment of fairness in the application of law.

During the formative stages, the Touchstone Committee [TC75] accepted a variety of high profile cases in order to discover the effective parameters of law - both domestic and international.

Since its inception, TC75 has, also, had the privilege of being invited into indigenous Elders homes to witness the history of custom and traditional law - and, in particular, how this custom law frequently is in conflict with domestic law due to the legacies of colonial rule.

Principal to understanding this wider sense of these applications of law, there is a need to come to terms with the matters of admiralty law, common law; and, in particular, to military law.

Therefore, this blogsite endeavors to provide a friendly access to law resources, to direct your inquiries to the right agencies and reference centres; to help you fathom the scope of your rights and obligations; and, most importantly, to assist you in understanding your relationships in law with the state.

We will find our success in witnessing your implementation of the access to law as an acceptable avenue of recourse, as opposed to the might-is-right alternatives.

The implementation of law by statute or through custom and tradition offers forward a recourse for the social human animal to continue to develop a societal structure which we may leave as a useful tool for our children. And, therein, to have made our lives worthwhile.
